The Background:
A newly created role to support the Senior International Mobility Manager has just arisen in Central London. Working in a team of seven International Mobility Professionals you will provide a top tier service to a dedicated portfolio of circa 80-90 assignees covering the EMEA region. The successful candidate will provide a pivotal role in supporting the Senior IM Manager to establish new processes for the wider team's expansion on a global basis.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Acting as senior point of contact for HR business partners and line management, including running costing of various scenarios so that advice and guidance can be given as to optimal relocation package
- Overseeing function of coordinating accommodation, relocation, education and immigration for individuals on all types of relocation terms
- Applying consistency and fairness in the application of the organisations Mobility policy and practices
- Designing and implementing process improvement and procedures for various mobility functions
- Senior point person within team responsible for liaising with reward teams in home/host locations to ensure employer tax compliance with respect to company share and incentive plans
- Owner of operations processes ensuring quality assurance and operational excellence through applying a consistent approach by all managers for carrying out various tasks and functions including evaluating periodically the mobility services and managing feedback
- Working with company tax providers to ensure employee tax compliance in home and host countries
- Providing final sign off on hypothetical tax withholding, tax equalisation calculations and UK tax calculations on grossed up benefits
- Overseeing the compiling of information to be provided for year-end PSA, P11d and W-2 purposes including substantial interaction with payroll departments
- Assisting Senior Manager to establish proactive processes for team's expansion globally
- Assisting team leader with Mobility projects
The Person:
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of: international assignments, global mobility and expatriate management issues. Applicants with additional experience dealing with technical expatriate taxation and compensation issues would be desirable. Finally, the ability to build relationships with and communicate in a clear and confident manner with overseas HR departments and International Assignees is essential.
