PricewaterhouseCoopers
PwC’s Global Mobility Team wins the award for its World Experience programme, which provides exceptional international assignment opportunities in the UK for talented employees from ‘emerging territories’ in the PwC global network.
The judges praised the team’s well articulated and well presented entry, the quality of its supporting evidence, and its business-focused, process-light approach.
2. Technological innovation in relocation

MoveAssist International
MoveAssist International wins the award for ReloAssist, a relocation management programme that allows all the parties involved in a relocation – corporate HR, assignees, relocation managers and serviced providers – to communicate using a web-based platform.
The judges were impressed by ReloAssist’s detailed content, functionality and ease of navigation, and by the quality of the demonstration given by the MoveAssist team.
3. Inspirational team of the year Sponsored by IPM 

NATS
NATS provides air traffic control services to aircraft flying in UK airspace and over the eastern part of the North Atlantic. The award goes to the NATS Policy Review Group, a joint trade union and management working group formed to review policy issues related to career and group moves, ensure consistency of approach, and adjudicate on exceptional personal cases.
The judges commended the team for a well articulated entry that satisfied all the criteria, and praised the way in which they had risen to the challenge of moving 3,500 employees since 2001 from locations in Gatwick and central and outer London to Hampshire. As one of the judging panel put it, “An excellent example of how to do things well.”
4. Relocation service provider of the year

Cartus
In this category the judges were particularly impressed by the diversity of the entries and the breadth of the challenges and achievements that were demonstrated in the submissions. Cartus won the Relocation Service Provider of the Year category, the judges praising its innovative, client-driven approach and the quality of its entry and supporting evidence. As one of the judging panel put it, “The complete package: every aspect of relocation, but with a personal touch.”
Highly Commended - Beswick Relocation
Smaller, but still highly professional, relocation company Beswick Relocation was highly commended in this category, reflecting the wide range of entries.
5. Best property provider or solution Sponsored by Connells Relocation 

SACO Apartments
Entries for this category came from a range of organisations – an estate agent, two relocation service providers and a number of serviced accommodation companies, reflecting the increasing importance of this sector.
The judges highlighted winner SACO Apartments’ global network, excellent customer service and training programme, and the way in which environmental policy was at the top of the company agenda. One member of the judging panel described SACO as ‘a small company delivering big service’.
6. Rising Star in relocation Sponsored by Cartus 

Debbie Britton, Britton Relocation Services
Britton Relocation Services provides relocation support to corporate and private clients moving to Yorkshire. Debbie Britton was nominated by Trevor Clark, HR director at Reckitt Benckiser plc, for her work on the company’s 2007 project to relocate up to 100 employees from Nottingham to Hull. Trevor Clark said, “Debbie’s in-depth knowledge of the region, housing market and schools, together with her professionalism, communications skills, adaptability and own experience of relocating, both nationally and internationally, has enabled her to achieve excellent results.”
The judges praised Debbie’s proactive approach, her ability to deliver and to overcome challenges, and her extensive knowledge of, and networks in, the areas in which she operates.
7. Relocation ‘Personality of the Year’ Sponsored by Clark & Rose

Carol Moore, GSK Services Unlimited
With this award, the judges faced a particularly tough choice. Entries came from relocation companies, suppliers and niche providers, including an international school and a company providing immigration and language training services.
Our worthy winner, Carol Moore, recently retired as Manager, UK and International Relocation Services, at GlaxoSmithKline Services Unlimited. Recognised within her company for her creativity and expertise in providing a customer-focused, effective and efficient relocation service, she is well known throughout the industry as a former Chair of RUG and for her involvement with Global ERC, the CBI and other bodies. She has been a constant advocate of the value effective relocation services can bring, both within her company and in the wider business context.
The judges were impressed by the measurability of Carol’s submission and her ability to satisfy all the entry criteria.
