Best Practice in Relocation
Meeting the challenges of today and tomorrow

Wednesday, 5 November 2008  9.30am – 2pm

At the Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall, London SW1

Building on the success of the Re:locate Awards this year, some of our winners will share with you the secrets of their success. This is an excellent opportunity to have your questions answered by HR colleagues, to help you design or refine your own relocation policy and cope with special challenges, such as managing a group move.

International assignments: managing talent from emerging markets
Paul Hicks, who heads PricewaterhouseCoopers’s UK Global Mobility team, will talk about the company’s innovative World Experience Programme, which takes ‘the brightest and the best’ from emerging territories, and equips them with the necessary technical expertise, communication skills and awareness of what it truly means to accept an overseas assignment – in both cultural and practical terms – to grow the business and become PricewaterhouseCoopers’s future leaders.
Winner, Best Relocation Strategy/Policy

Managing a successful group move
Sandra Barker, manager, employment policies and relocation, at NATS, the UK’s largest commercial provider of air-traffic control services, shares her experience of moving 3,500 employees. Sandra will provide valuable insights for anyone planning a group move, large or small. She also explains the vital role of the Policy Review Group, formed as a joint trade union and management working group to review policy issues related to career and group moves.
