On 23 July, Brookfield GRS will be hosting a one-hour webinar (web-based seminar) to examine the cultural attributes of Brazil and Brazilians in the workplace, focusing on the challenges expatriates may face when assimilating into life in Brazil beyond its major cities.
The objectives, says the company, are:
- To introduce common stereotypes and perceptions Brazilians have of expatriates
- To discuss the regional differences in basic business and social protocol
- To discuss Brazilian psycho-cultural differences, such as character traits, core country values, behaviours, attitudes and ways of viewing the world
- To provide a framework for comparing and contrasting Brazilian culture with participants’ own culture along ten research-validated dimensions that will enable participants to identify and resolve challenges in their own communications
- To suggest communication strategies for bridging cultural differences between personal, national and the target cultures
