news

Key international relocation destination China is reporting an 8.7% growth in its economy during 2009, a figure that outstripped official predictions. In the final quarter of the year, growth was up 10.7% on the same quarter in 2008.

China looks set to become the world’s second-largest economy, overtaking Japan, which is due to announce its latest GDP figures in February. The Chinese government is now expected to put in place measures to prevent the economy from overheating.

In the Spring 2010 issue of Re:locate, we’ll be revisiting this important – and often challenging – relocation destination.
