Bangalore: A rough guide
Bangalore is India’s fifth largest city, home to 5.7 million people and 7 per cent of expatriate assignees to India. In the south of the country, it is a major centre of scientific research and technological innovation. The official language of the state is Kannada, although English is widely spoken and understood. Bangalore’s climate, although tropical, is mainly dry and pleasant.
