Hyderabad: A rough guide
Hyderabad is India’s fifth biggest city and the capital of Andhra Pradesh state. It has 5.5 million residents. Hyderabad is a twin city and its other half is known as Secunderabad. The cities are separated by a vast man-made lake known as Hussain Sagar. The main languages spoken are Telugu, English, Urdu and Hindi.
Perched on the top of the Deccan Plateau at 1,776 feet above sea level, Hyderabad has a generally tropical climate. Summer temperature’s rise to 45°c, while in winter they range from 13-22°c. The monsoon season is from June to September.
