Oakwood Asia Pacific Ltd, announced its expansion into Australia with the agreement to manage new apartments in Brisbane that have been acquired by Singapore-based Mapletree Investments.

Oakwood Apartments Brisbane comprises of 162 apartments with a choice of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments and to manage this property, Oakwood has appointed Paul Wilsher as general manager.
Mr Wilsher started his hospitality career in regional Victoria managing a conference, leisure and ski resort. He has been a general manager for 27 years and his extensive experience has seen him managing properties from 66 rooms upwards and holding key management positions in a conference resort with 751 rooms and catering facilities for up to 2,000.
He has worked all over Australia for hotel companies from Silver Needle Hospitality to Constellation Hotels, the Brisbane Club as CEO, Rydges Hotels and Crown Plaza group. His last position was general manager of the Sage Hotel, Wollongong.
Wilsher has been highly decorated in his long and illustrious career with Constellation Hotels, winning awards for Manager of the Year, Food and Beverage Hotel of the Year, Business Unit of the Year, People Management Award – some for multiple times.
