With The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on the horizon, people around the UK are busy planning ways to celebrate one of the highlights of London 2012. From street parties to village fetes, the country is sure to be awash with colour come June.
At this time of celebration and goodwill, we must remember to give something back to our local communities. For this reason, Re:locate is supporting The Jubilee Hour, a scheme that encourages people to donate to good causes in their area this summer.
The twist?
Rather than money, participants will be donating their time.
In the 60th year of Her Majesty The Queen’s reign, The Jubilee Hour asks people to give just 60 minutes of their time to civic, charitable or community activities. Volunteers will be able to pledge their time, keep track of local activities, and upload photos on an online portal - the Book of Time.
Re:locate is calling upon the global mobility sector to get behind this wonderful initiative. To show our support, we’ll be leading the way: volunteering locally and encouraging others to do the same!
How do you plan to help your community, or society as a whole? What could you do with just an hour of your time?
Join Re:locate and The Jubilee Hour to find out how much difference you could make!
