seniormanagerA study reveals that more than half of French employees working for large companies have a desire to change career, with an even higher proportion (73%), believing that this should be done before hitting 45.

The study was conducted by French company TNS Sofres and commissioned by the organising committee of the Journée nationale pour l'emploi des seniors, France’s national senior workers day.

As the French newspaper Le Monde reports, out of 57% of respondents wishing to change their career, 85% were under the age of 25. An opposite trend can be found among senior workers, who making up 68 % of the total number of respondents who claim being satisfied with their current job.

According to majority MP Jacques Kossowsky, who will chair the event, “workers should be able to receive progress reports and updates for each stage of their career”. Of all survey participants, 64% have in fact indicated progress reports as the best solution for securing one’s professional life.
