COBIS publishes its 2016 Annual Research Survey

COBIS has announced the publication of its 2016 Annual Research Survey. More than 100 schools from around the world responded.

The COBIS Annual Research Survey 2016, in partnership with GL Education, is undertaken annually to help develop a better understanding of the growing global COBIS family of schools, as well as the British international education sector as a whole. The results can be used to increase school-to-school networking, communication and support.This is the third year the report has been compiled, and looks at curriculum and assessment choices, examination results, school profiles, university destinations and many other areas.The report reveals statistics, such as:
  • Of 2015/2016 leaves from COBIS schools, 95 per cent went on to university; and more than 50 per cent of leaves went on to university in the UK
  • Pupil numbers in COBIS schools range from 22 to 4,332
  • Just over 60 per cent of students in responding COBIS schools do not have English as their mother tongue
  • More than 175 responding schools offer different extra-curricular activities and sports
COBIS represents more than 250 British international schools in more than 75 countries worldwide. The schools education around 135,000 pupils and employ more than 30,000 teachers and support staff.
