Reader’s Digest reveals best place to bring up a family

A new poll by Reader’s Digest reveals the amenities that parents across the country believe are most important when it comes to creating a family-friendly area, with good state schools, a low crime rate, good local hospitals, affordable family housing, and high employment rates all considered vital. In the poll, Scotland fared strongly, with East Dunbartonshire and East Renfrewshire taking the two top slots respectively, followed by the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, The Vale of Glamorgan in Wales, Hambleton, North Yorkshire, and Fareham in Hampshire.
