Our international school is located near Hampstead, in central London, and provides students with an excellent education, underpinned by a special commitment to language learning and digital culture.CFBL | Collège Français Bilingue de Londres has been running distance learning classes since Wednesday 18th March 2020. From their kitchens, living rooms or bedrooms, using their computers, tablets, phones or school lent Chromebooks teachers and pupils were connected to each other using a multitude of tools including Pronote, Zoom and Google Classrooms. They followed the courses, activities and homework that their teachers have prepared for them to ensure pedagogical continuity. CFBL was ready to act before the first day of lockdown."Everyone - teaching and administrative staff - have been mobilized to support families and manage personal situations. We remained attentive and listened to their feedback. We knew the challenges that our school community was facing and we were ready to face them together in a responsible and supportive manner," confirms Denis BITTMANN - Headteacher at CFBL | Collège Français Bilingue de Londres.The school had not closed in its entirety, along with key members of staff, CFBL was welcoming the children of parents or guardians who were working all hours in the health services helping to keep the country safe.In addition to our regularly scheduled classes, we were running numerous activities via live Zoom video including scientific experiments, artistic endeavours and physical exercise classes via video capsules. PE teachers launched a Summer dance contest where pupils were allowed to win points for their houses CFBL actively encouraged its community to share their resources, ideas, educational activities and challenges.
