Dr Sue Shortland, Head Judge

Dr Sue Shortland
Sue is a Senior Lecturer in HRM at the University of Westminster and also holds the honorary title of Professor Emerita at London Metropolitan University. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She holds external examiner positions at Sheffield Hallam University and Oxford Brookes University.Sue is an active researcher and has published widely in academic journals and practitioner publications. She is the author of five books in the field of HRM. Prior to working in Higher Education, Sue worked in a managerial consultancy role in international HRM at KPMG, and managed The CBI Employee Relocation Council.

Holly Maria Creed

Holly Maria Creed, Awards Judge
Holly is a Chartered MCIPD. She is winner of multiple industry awards with over twelve years Human Resources and Global Mobility experience including ten years of management experience. She has an impressive and proven track record of creating and scaling up worldwide People Teams through establishing company culture and values alongside implementing streamlined and dynamic operating models aligned to company goals.

Siobhan Cummins

Siobhan Cummins, Awards judge
Siobhan is a seasoned global mobility professional with 30 years' experience as a consultant and in-house practitioner with specialist expertise in global mobility programme transformation and optimisation, talent mobility, policy design and development, international payroll and global benefit plans. She was Head of Global Mobility at Naspers and Executive Director, Mobility Performance Improvement at EY as well as holding senior roles at Deloitte and Thomson Reuters, Mercer and ORC Worldwide.

Mark Ethelston

Paul Ethelston
Mark has over 26 years’ experience in International Assignments/ Global Mobility encompassing programme & policy management, strategic policy & programme development, policy, programme & technology implementation, expatriate taxation, vendor selection, management, governance and assurance, in-depth experience of assignment compensation and benefits and related technology and business development and strategic account management.

Mark's experience, much of which has been focused on the financial services industry and companies with project-based assignment requirements. Having worked in both client facing managed services, advisory and in-house capacities, has given Mark the advantage of understanding client's challenges and needs from the inside, resulting in the ability to provide well considered solutions.These factors have given Mark an unusually broad experience across all key aspects of Global Mobility, which is further enhanced by retaining a mix of both strategic/ advisory and operational/ process driven aspects in Mark's roles to date. He also benefits from him being on assignment to the United States and working as a local hire in Hong Kong.  

Gina Lodge

Gina Lodge, Award judge
Gina has over 20 years’ experience in Leadership and Management and IT while employed by Shell and subsequently in IT and Education. Gina gained significant experience in managing people, project and change management,implementing Quality Management standards, business process re-engineering projects, and IT applications. Gina led a department handling the supply chain logistics for Shell Chemicals International Trading Co. Ltd, where she gained a detailed knowledge of International import and export procedures. The role included liaison and troubleshooting with global service companies.Gina joined the AoEC in 2008, became Marketing Director and Board member in 2010 and in 2015 was appointed CEO. She is an AoEC accredited Executive and Team Coach.

Fiona Murchie

Fiona Murchie, 2021 Relocate Awards
Fiona Murchie has over 25 years’ experience in management and HR publishing and global mobility. From this unique perspective, she combines understanding of the HR and global mobility market with knowledge of business drivers and an appreciation of management thinking and the wider influences on company and regional growth brought about by changing global markets, demographics, economics and geo-political factors.She launched Relocate magazine in 2004, to promote creativity and best practice in mobility, explore new topics, and stimulate debate on relocation-related subjects. Relocate Global has become the leading multimedia for international managers, HR, global mobility and relocation professionals, with a growing international reputation for thought leadership, innovation and people support.

Paul Williamson

Paul heads up learning and development at The Ambassadors Theatre Group (ATG), a global live entertainment business. ATG owns and operates close to 50 venues worldwide, is an internationally recognised and award-winning producer, and operates a market leading theatre ticketing business.

He has worked in the theatre industry for over 20 years, enjoying leadership roles in sales and ticketing prior to moving into Human Resources.

Paul has developed a number of in-house development programmes for ATG, including ‘Leading Lights’ – a residential leadership development programme for senior leaders, and ‘Rising Stars’ – a two-year development programme for emerging leaders. He is also an internal coach and has worked closely with The Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC), developing in-house coaching capability within the organisation to support the various programmes ATG run. 

Paul is a chartered member of the CIPD, an AoEC qualified executive coach and a Hogan personality assessor.
