Safe Passage Across Networks (SPAN)
Safe Passage Across Networks (SPAN) is a non-profit organization which offers a home to people and schools committed to healthy student, family and staff transition. It was founded by Doug Ota who wrote the book Safe Passage explaining why good transitions are so important for students, faculty, and parents to do well. SPAN has developed online training programs which includes ground breaking insights into how important attachment security is in the transition process and how to help that to happen for highly mobile populations.
Safe Passage Across Networks’ won Relocate’s Excellence in Education Support Award in 2021 for ‘The Nest’.
