H-FARM International School

H-FARM International School is an international school that utilises the programmes of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and is an Apple Distinguished School.

The IB programmes that make up our school curriculum are the Primary Years Programme, lasting eight years (three years of nursery school and five of primary school); the Middle Years Programme, which lasts five years (three of middle school and the first two years of secondary school); and, finally, the two-year Diploma Programme, corresponding to the third and fourth year of secondary school (11th and 12th grades).

Our school is part of H-FARM Education, the educational division of H-FARM that also includes a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Management, postgraduate and executive Masters and an extra-curricular digital laboratory program for young children and teenagers.

Since September 2020, the school and all of H-FARM Education's programmes are located in the new H-FARM Campus, an area of over 51 hectares of green parkland, just ten minutes from Venice Marco Polo International Airport.

The IBO's eight-year Primary Years Programme (PYP) combines three years of nursery school (the Early Years Unit) with the five years of elementary school.

Our Early Years Unit is made up of three classes: Honey Bees (3-4 years), Busy Bees (4-5 years) and Reception Rockets (5-6 years). Each class is led by a main class teacher and a full-time assistant.

The following five years (from PYP1 to PYP5) are the natural continuation of the EYU. Each class has an interdisciplinary class teacher and also have specialty lessons in Italian, music and gymnastics (PE).

The Middle Years Programme has a duration of five years, which include three years of middle school and the first two of secondary school (9th and 10th grade). Throughout the course, the subjects studied cover eight thematic areas established by the IB: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Design, Physical and Health Education (PHE).

To be admitted to the first year of middle school (MYP1), students must take an English language entrance test.

To be admitted to the first year of High School (MYP4), prospective students must take an English language and Mathematics entrance test. The level of English required is a Cambridge First Certificate (B2 according to European standards). The Maths exam focuses on the global standard 8th grade program.

During MYP4 and MYP5, students make several subject choices to personalise their educational programme and are provided with a laptop.

At the end of the five years of MYP, students can access the prestigious Diploma Programme (DP), which allows them to finish high school one year earlier than the standard Italian system and allows access to the most important Italian and global universities.

H-FARM International School provides school bus service from Treviso, Padua, Venice, Jesolo and Caorle, Oderzo, Spinea and Conegliano. Detailed routes and costs vary from year to year, based on the number of students who use the service and their areas of residence.

For students starting from the MYP3 class (8th grade) and up, the school provides a boarding service, allowing students the possibility of residing within the Boarding house on our Campus. In addition, as from this October onwards, our boarding school has been officially accredited by the Boarding Schools' Association (BSA). BSA represents a globally recognized institution, promoting boarding schools and offering the largest training program to boarding staff worldwide with seminars and workshops.
