International School of Zug and Luzern (ISZL)

The International School of Zug and Luzern (ISZL) is a highly regarded non-profit, co-educational day school serving the international community of central Switzerland. Our 1250 students aged between 3 and 18 years old represent more than 50 nationalities. They benefit from a truly international education delivered by the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB). As an IB World School, we offer the IB Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. In addition, students in Grades 11 and 12 have the option of taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses. ISZL operates a non-selective admissions policy.

Our campuses are easily reached from Zug, Zurich and Luzern and benefit from top of the range facilities including science and IT labs, a triple gym with a fitness suite and climbing wall, music rooms, Arts Factory and a well-equipped theatre. Students are fortunate to be able to make full use of ISZL’s outdoor learning centre in the mountains of Wengen.

We believe that support needs to be available to students in a number of areas, including academic, health, social and emotional, and ISZL has trained staff to support students so that our learners achieve their best in all aspects of school. We believe that students need to be healthy and feel safe, secure and comfortable in their learning environment in order to maximise their potential. Our Learning Support, English as Additional Language, First Language classes, Educational Technology and University Preparation programmes are examples of this support.
