Regents is an exciting, vibrant day and boarding school that thinks beyond traditional education to transform learning. We focus on a holistic education as well as academic excellence. We are part of Nord Anglia Education which means we are able to offer our students exclusive collaborations with Juilliard School of the Performing Arts, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), UNICEF, our Gap Programme and we are also the only Round Square school in our region. Boarding at Regents

Regents has a well-established boarding community in beautiful surroundings, well away from the busy streets and pollution of Bangkok, yet still within easy reach of the main airport. We are ideally placed to offer fantastic imaginative supervised trips at weekends and our sporting facilities provide excellent opportunities after homework is complete each evening. Our boarders are encouraged to work hard and play hard – whilst they will be encouraged towards independence, they will also know that they have our staff’s full support as they grow.We offer girls and boys boarding from Year 3 to Year 13 (age 8 – 18). There are many different options for boarders; from occasional boarding, part time and full-time boarding. We also offer boarder tasting sessions if you would like to try boarding as an option for your child. There are many benefits to boarding, including immersion in English language, set study (prep) time, no commute and use of school facilities.

What nationalities are at your school? We are truly an international school, with over 50 different nationalities including; Thai, British, Japanese, American, Korean, Chinese and Russain and Australian to name a few! What languages are the lessons taught in? English Can my child join your school if they do not speak English? Yes, we have a very experienced team of specialist English as an Additional Language (EAL) teachers who are here to support your child’s language development. Do you have to sit an entrance exam? No, children attend an assessment to determine what level they are so we can recommend the appropriate year group and any English as an Additional Language (EAL) or learning support that may be needed. Do you have learning support? Yes, we have specialist learning support teachers including speech and language therapy. What are your academic results like? Students consistently score above the world and UK average in IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. These programmes and results give our graduates opportunities to attend leading universities around the world. What universities do your students go to? Some examples of the world leading universities our graduates have gone onto are: Kings College London, University of Edinburgh, Stamford International University, Los Angeles Film School, University of British Columbia, Linkoping University, Sweden, to name just a few. What curriculum do you teach? In Primary we teach the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and in Secondary we offer the International GCSE (IGCSE) for 16 year olds. Are all your teachers qualified? Regents attracts some of the best teachers in the world and all of our teachers are fully qualified. As Regents is part of the Nord Anglia Education group Regents is able to support and offer our teachers many opportunities for professional development, which helps to ensure we attract the very best. Where are your teachers from? Most of our teachers are British with our modern language teachers from Thailand, Spain, Korea, China and Russia When can my child join the school? You can enroll throughout the year, please contact our Admissions team for an appointment to discuss your options. Admissions@regents-pattaya.co.th How do I apply? Please contact our Admissions team for an appointment to discuss your options. Admissions@regents-pattaya.co.th Where is the school located? Regents is located south of Bangkok, in the province of Chonburi, about 10km outside of Pattaya. Where do most families live? For our boarding students their families live all over the world with some who live in Bangkok but choose to send their child out of the big city with its congestion and pollution. For our day students some families live close by the school in housing estates near the Mabprachan Lake area and some families choose to have a sea view and live near the beach in nearby areas such as Jomtien or Naklua! Do you have a bus service? Yes, we offer a daily school bus service to and from school. There are 6 zones allocated to different bus routes. Bus zones and pricing can be confirmed once we have your address. All buses are fitted with car seats and seat belts. All students are accompanied by a bus monitor; they ride on the bus with the children and take them to and pick them up from class. All bus drivers and bus monitors are trained in First Aid. All buses are fitted with reverse parking alarms. Do students wear school uniform? Yes, Early Primary wear the PE Kit as they are very active. Primary and Secondary students wear a school uniform and separate PE kit. Sixth Form students wear business dress. Uniform can be purchased from the school.Does the school provide lunch and snacks? Yes school provides a morning snack for Early Primary and Primary and lunches for all year groups. Lunch menus are rotated and there are always healthy, Thai and Western options. We have recently renovated canteens in Primary and Secondary which are inviting environments for our students. We also have a coffee shop where Secondary students can purchase sandwiches, fruit, drinks etc. We are a nut free school! Do you have after school activities? Yes, we offer over 200 different co-curricular activities, from sailing, athletics and Jiu Jitsu to international art club, film club, coding and robotics - there is something for everyone! How do parents get involved? We have a Parents Supporters Group which you are automatically a member of as soon as your child enrolls at Regents – there are many opportunities for regular events and activities to get involved with from international cooking class, parent choir and various annual fund-raising events throughout the year, such as International Day and Carols by Candlelight. Do you have music classes? As a Nord Anglia Education school we are passionate about all three performing arts. All students in our schools around the world experience music, dance and drama as they form an important part of our curriculum from the age of four right through to middle school. We strongly believe all three subjects play a crucial role in enabling our students to develop into intelligent, confident and well-rounded global citizens. Our collaboration with The Juilliard School, a world leader in performing arts education, gives our students first-class learning experiences, and also provides high-level professional training and personal development opportunities for our teachers. We also offer a variety of different music CCA’s as well as singing and voice lessons and various musical instruments; brass, guitar, drums to name a few, we have a brass band and various school bands. What sports do you do? We offer a varied sports programme from athletics, football, swimming, golf, volleyball and basketball.
