Salary: Competitive base salary + bonus

Location: Lamberhurst, near Tunbridge Wells, Kent with the opportunity for international travel.

Your responsibilities:

We are looking for a full time, self-motivated, ambitious Sales and Business Development Manager. You will be an excellent communicator with a consultative approach. 

You will work as an integral part of the management team to create and present strategic sales initiatives and opportunities, to a portfolio of existing clients, prospects and advertising agencies both in the UK and internationally. To help achieve this, your key responsibilities will be:

  • To deliver our sales and business development strategy working closely with the Managing Director and Commercial Director to achieve a step change in global revenue
  • To generate and to present complex sales initiatives across the Relocate media including print, digital / online, Awards, events and consultancy
  • To explore and develop strategies for jobs board, data, subscriptions e-commerce and other sales revenue streams in association with the Managing Director and Commercial Director
  • To manage and motivate the sales team and provide support and guidance ensuring they meet their targets
  • To be actively involved in generating and growing revenue from new and existing clients and advertising agencies in the UK and internationally through face-to-face meetings and telephone sales.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and events in the UK and internationally 

Secondary functions

  • Monitor social media for leads and awareness
  • Manage CRM sales function and ensure all members of the sales team maximise its potential
  • Develop an understanding of the HR, global mobility and professional management B2B market and end user B2C cross-over market
  • Provide sales reports for management team on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

Your attributes:

  • We are looking for a creative and ambitious sales and business development manager who can generate and present strategic sales initiatives to a portfolio of existing clients, prospects and advertising agencies in the UK and internationally.
  • You must have experience of managing a sales team and be confident in following a focused sales strategy from concept to completion. A hands on approach is required to ensure you lead by example.
  • You must have a track record of meeting sales targets, generating leads and driving online media sales. With 3 years’ or more multi-level sales experience in a B2B environment, you will have at least one year’s experience of online sales across a range of digital products.
  • You will have a strong understanding of display advertising sales alongside other products which may include customised content, events, affiliate relationships, mobile and social media. Experience of working with agencies, social media, B2C and international campaigns would be a bonus. 
  • You will need to be highly motivated, command the respect of both clients and colleagues and demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and sales skills.
  • You should be a strong team player, able to work closely with the website development, marketing and management teams to deliver coordinated campaigns. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent. 
  • The role would work well for an experienced self-starter who is comfortable working on their own initiative but also enjoys being part of a close knit entrepreneurial team.
  • There is scope for greater responsibility in a strategic role for the right person with experience, who understands the potential of the global mobility market and our unique position in connecting the diverse facets of the market.
  • It would be an advantage if you had an understanding of HR, the relocation industry, corporate business and professional markets plus the importance of expatriate support and talent management.
  • Experience of living and working overseas would be ideal together with language skills in maximising the potential of this role. 

Working requirements:

  • Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm 
  • Occasional early morning / end of day calls required to be made to different time zones
  • Having a driving license is essential as you cannot access the office by public transport
  • Willingness to travel overseas
