This morning has been a joy, welcoming pupils back to the College to share their successes alongside friends, families, and teachers. We spoke with a few pupils about the exciting next steps their fantastic results will lead them to…Avik, who joined Clifton College in the nursery, achieved three A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths and got into his first choice of university, UCL, to study Medicine. He praised his teachers for excellent support, even through study leave and will miss spending time with friends.Luca, who also joined in the nursery, secured two A*s and one A in History, Economics and Politics and will be going on to study International Relations at King’s College, London. He will miss the whole school environment and especially Head of College, Dr Greene!Nicole obtained three A*s in Chemistry, Biology, and Maths, as well as an A* in her self-selected EPQ. She will be starting at her first-choice university, Imperial College London, this September to read Medicine. She was very grateful for both the pastoral and academic support she received and will miss the people, and the supportive and inclusive environment of Clifton College.Fenella and Megan both achieved double distinction in their Sport BTEC along with an additional A Level each, with Megan also completing an EPQ alongside. Fenella will be going to Exeter University to study Ancient History and Megan to Newcastle University to study a BSC in Business Management and Marketing. He said he received an amazing amount of support, all staff were uplifting both academically and pastorally and he cannot thank them enough. He started Clifton College in Year 4 in our Prep School and will miss the community and the kinship. We are delighted that the majority of our pupils have secured offers from their first-choice universities, not just in the UK, but also at overseas universities such as NYU, University of California San Diego, Bocconi and University of Hong Kong. Through their hard work and determination, they have achieved an exceptional set of results, paving the way for a wide range of exciting opportunities as they take their next steps beyond school.Dr Gavin Turner, Deputy Head Academic, said “We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of our A Level and BTEC pupils, whose results reflect not only academic excellence but also the maturity and perseverance they have shown throughout their Sixth Form journey. These outcomes are the culmination of two years of focused study, intellectual exploration, and personal growth. They have risen to the challenge with determination and ambition, and we are confident they will carry these qualities forward into the next exciting chapter of their lives, whether in higher education, apprenticeships, or the world of work. Very well done.”Nick Mills, Head of Sixth Form, said, “We’re delighted to see our pupils achieving their goals, with most now set to join their chosen universities and pursue an impressive variety of courses. Congratulations to all our leavers on their excellent results, and best wishes as they begin the next exciting chapter of their lives.”Dr Tim Greene, Head of College, said, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our pupils on their fantastic results. These grades reflect their commitment, perseverance, and the invaluable support of their teachers. As a year group, they have excelled not only academically but also across the co-curricular sphere. May they continue to thrive and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead."
