The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) Occupations In-Demand (OID) programme is designed to attract highly skilled workers in occupations deemed in-demand by the province of Saskatchewan. The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) announced the new list of eligible occupations under the OID programme.

Key benefits of the SINP OID programme

• The applicant is not required to have a job offer in Saskatchewan in order to qualify
• English proficiency can be moderate rather than high
• It is a pathway to attaining permanent residency in Canada.

To qualify, applicants must score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.  (Visit the Saskatchewan official website.)The assessment grid awards points on the basis of the following five factors:

• Education and training
• Skilled work experience
• Language ability
• Age
• Connections to the Saskatchewan labour market and adaptability.

Applicants will also have to provide proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan.
