Australian apartment hotel operator Quest opens first UK property in Liverpool

Apartment hotel is first to open outside Australasia as founder embarks on global expansion programme to provide business travellers with home away from home

Quest Apartment Hotels, Australasia’s largest and fastest growing apartment hotel operator opened its doors for business in Liverpool on 26 September - its first property in the UK and its first outside Australasia.The property opened in the heart of the city centre following a year-long £10m transformation converting and adding to the top three floors of the 1980s commercial office building. The new apartment hotel complex, which will serve the local and international business community comprises 100 serviced apartments, reception, conference room, gym and back-of-house facilities.Established by entrepreneur Paul Constantinou 30 years ago in Melbourne, the 170 strong Quest Apartment Hotels portfolio has made its name by offering a ‘home away from home’ to extended stay business travellers in key cities, regional towns and suburban locations across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. To mark its arrival in the neighbourhood, Quest has donated an initial £2,500 to local children’s charity Zoё's Place Trust – one that was selected specially by Quest Liverpool City Centre team members to be its charity of the year. The charity provides palliative, respite and end-of-life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
