The winners of the Relocate Awards 2017 were revealed and presented with their trophies at an exclusive black-tie gala dinner held in the stunning surroundings of the Science Museum, in London, on Thursday 11 May.This year sees the tenth anniversary of these prestigious awards, which recognise success, creativity and innovation across the relocation and global mobility sector. Over the past decade, the awards have grown in stature, attracting entries from around the world and companies from an ever-widening range of sectors.Our host and keynote speaker, high-profile radio and television science, medical and technology broadcaster Maggie Philbin, OBE, Professor Anu Ojha, OBE, and his team from the National Space Academy, and our fabulous Innovation Ambassadors helped to make this year’s Gala Awards Dinner an unforgettable event by starting conversations and giving a glimpse into the future and a taste of things to come across our global community.Click here to view photographs and video of the evening. New Relocate initiatives

The aims of the evening were:

• To inspire guests to innovate and be creative in both their personal and their work lives
• To imagine the workforce of the future and how different industry sectors will evolve to meet future challenges and developments
• To help connect employers with schools and the talent of the future
• To raise awareness of the importance of global mobility in supporting business growth and recruiting and retaining talent

Relocate will be taking all these objectives forward in the longer term.We also looking to encourage the wider global mobility community (HR, global managers, suppliers and experts), to design some new initiatives, such as a corporate social responsibility project to help connect employers with schools, and other projects to support diversity and the development of talent of the future, ultimately filling skills gaps and supporting economic growth around the world.To find out how you can get involved in our initiatives, email our managing editor, Fiona Murchie.
