Halcyon London International School Celebrates Outstanding IB Diploma Results for Class of 2025

Halcyon London International School, the only not-for-profi t independent IB school in Central London, is delighted to announce exceptional International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results for its Class of 2025, with graduates achieving an average score of 35, outperforming both the UK and world averages.

One hundred percent of Halcyon students passed the Diploma, with two graduates receiving the highest possible score of 45 and 24 percent achieving results of 40 or above. The class received a total of 96 university offers at prestigious institutions in London, across the UK and worldwide, with students set to attend universities in six countries.The school's IBDP Coordinator, Ms Lori Fritz, praised the achievements: "We are so proud of our class of 2025 and the results they achieved through their own hard work and their collaborative teamwork. What stands out from this class though is more than just the numbers and grades - it is the eloquent TOK essay, the ethereal art work, the authentic science discovery, the original music composition and the intentions to make a difference."Director of University and Careers Counselling, Asil Al-Shammari, confi rmed that Class of 2025 students will be taking up places at prestigious universities including The New School - Parsons, TU Delft, Vassar College, Bentley University, Imperial College London, University College London, London School of Economics, KU Leuven, and King's College London.Eight students have secured places at Russell Group universities, studying diverse subjects including Mechanical Engineering, International Relations and Chinese, Biochemistry, International Management, Crime and Cyber Science, Law, and Economics and Politics with study abroad. These institutions include the London School of Economics and Political Science (Top 50 University, QS World Rankings 2025), University College London (Top 10, QS Global Rankings 2025), and Imperial College London (Top 5, QS Global Rankings 2025). Two additional students will pursue creative fi elds, studying Music and Music, Sound and Technology.In North America, one student will attend Bentley University for Business with a $17,000 Dean's annual scholarship, whilst others will pursue Political Science at Vassar College, International Relations at Wake Forest University, Studio Arts with a minor in English Literature at Concordia University, and Fashion Design at The New School - Parsons. European destinations include Product Design at IED (Istituto Europeo di Design), Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft, and European Studies at KU Leuven.Halcyon's English Plus programme continues to provide exceptional support for international students developing their English language skills.

Grade 12 Student Artur Tomakhov, who has been accepted at UCL to study Mechanical Engineering, highlighted the school's personalised approach: "The teacher-to-student ratio couldn't be better, which means teachers can provide personalised guidance tailored specifi cally to help you improve. When I started learning English, I found reading easier than speaking, but the support here has made all the difference. Coming from studying Ukrainian literature to Halcyon has been an incredible journey of growth."The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme has grown signifi cantly since its inception, with the fi rst examinations held in 1971 for 601 students in 12 schools. In 2024, there were 21,806 students in 1,427 schools across 125 countries. The school believes the IB Diploma provides students with access to the very best universities and programmes worldwide, with graduates joining a dynamic, aspirational international community equipped with skills to make a difference in the world.
