Excellence in education – schools/education consultancy

Finding the right school for their child is even more important for relocating families as mobility and business travel picks up for international organisations following the pandemic. As employers and employees embrace the new normal, following the experience of lockdown and the importance of online education, flexibility, safety and wellbeing are at the forefront of decision making for parents.

This Award recognises quality education for mobile families and reflects how, a successful, timely and stress-free relocation supports talent retention, promotes employer brand and delivers employee engagement for best practice organisations.

The school should demonstrate how it provides outstanding education and support to relocating pupils and their families throughout their time at the school, as well as to international students electing to study outside of their native country.

Examples of flexibility and choice around admissions, an understanding of the employer’s, employee’s and family’s perspective and the importance of transition care are welcome.

Schools entering this category should be able to demonstrate an ethos of global mindedness and understanding of the future of work and career opportunities for young people, as well as offer support in areas such language/native language tuition, cross-culture and access to relocation resources for families. This category is also open to education consultants.

Entrants must:

  • Highlight how your entry is inspirational and why you should win this award category
  • Demonstrate a people-centred approach and the importance of flexibility and choice
  • Explain how an exceptional quality and personalised mobility experience is provided and to whom it applies
  • Demonstrate a responsive, resource-efficient and cost-effective service, showing how value is added to the mobility experience
  • How you manage your own people so that they demonstrate commitment, engagement and passion in service delivery
  • The size of their organisation: 1–24 employees, 25-49 employees, 50–99 employees or 100+ employees

Entrants should also indicate:

  • Details of how they use technology and/or digital and social media to communicate with corporate clients, assignees and their families, and others in the supply chain
  • Proof of consistently high standards and customer satisfaction, such as client and customer feedback forms and/or testimonials
  • New talent management and recruitment drivers from corporate clients as appropriate
  • Highlight a project or case study as appropriate
  • Proof of their ability to lead, manage and communicate exceptionally well, both internally and externally, with clients and other providers
  • Whether they belong to a network of providers, and how they collaborate to offer wider services or cover multiple locations

The judges will be looking for proof of consistently high standards and excellent service – for example, customer/client testimonials, feedback forms and/or survey results. Evidence of flexibility and choice to support a high quality and transferable global education is requested.

Subject to sufficient breadth of entries, we will subdivide this category to reward schools and education consultants.

Who can enter?

This award is open to state, independent and international schools from any country and to individuals and organisations that offer a specialist education service to the families of relocating employees. The award is relevant to those that provide educational consultancy and/or support to families on the move, locally, regionally or globally.
