What makes your Featured school special for international families

Watch our guidelines on how to record your short videos to showcase what makes your school special for international families.

Share your school’s story

We’d love to hear directly from your school through a series of short videos showcasing your community, your approach to education and what makes your school distinctive.

Your videos may be featured across Relocate Global and Think Global People’s website, newsletters and social media channels, helping internationally mobile families and global mobility professionals discover more about your school.

What we’d like you to record

•              Please record 5–6 short videos, with each answer ideally around 60–90 seconds.

•              A smartphone is absolutely fine — no professional filming equipment is required.

•              Please provide the original, raw unedited video files where possible with no graphics added

•              We will edit and format the footage for use across our digital channels.

The questions

Core questions

Please choose 3–4 of the following:

1. What makes your school special?
What would you most like a relocating family to know about your school?

2. How do you support international and relocating families?
How do you help students settle in, feel welcome and become part of the school community?

3. What does being an international school mean to you?
How do you prepare students for an increasingly interconnected world?

4. What opportunities do students have beyond the classroom?
Tell us about experiences that help students develop confidence, skills and a wider perspective.

5. What makes your approach to education distinctive?

6. What advice would you give to a family considering your school?

Your school’s specialism

Alongside the core questions, we will provide 2–3 questions specifically tailored to your school, based on your Featured School profile, webinar or particular area of expertise.

These may explore areas such as:

•              Sustainability

•              Global citizenship

•              Bilingualism and multilingual learning

•              Curriculum and academic pathways

•              Innovation and technology

•              Arts, sport and creativity

•              Wellbeing and pastoral care

•              Community and service learning

This is an opportunity to showcase what makes your school distinctive and highlight areas of particular interest to internationally mobile families.

Simple filming guidance

Please:

•              Use a smartphone.

•              Film in a quiet, well-lit location.

•              Film vertically in 9:16 format where possible, particularly for social media.

•              If possible, also provide a landscape 16:9 version for greater flexibility across website and digital platforms.

•              Look at the camera and speak naturally.

•              Keep each answer focused and concise.

•              Consider filming in different areas of your school to bring the content to life.

•              Check that your face is clearly visible and that the sound is clear.

Please avoid:

•              Worrying about professional cameras or editing.

•              Reading a long scripted answer.

•              Adding music, graphics or filters.

•              Filming somewhere with significant background noise.

•              Giving lengthy answers — short, focused responses work best.

Our preference is for natural and authentic content. Imagine you are speaking directly to a parent who is considering relocating to your area.

Bring your school to life

Where appropriate, we’d also love to see your school environment. Short additional clips can include:

•              Classrooms and learning spaces

•              Outdoor areas and sports facilities

•              Specialist facilities

•              Student activities

•              School events

•              The wider campus and local environment

Please ensure that you have the appropriate permissions for any students or other individuals appearing in the footage.

Sending your videos

•              Please send the original video files to the Relocate Global team using the agreed file-sharing method.

•              Please avoid compressing the files before sending, where possible, to maintain the best quality.

•              Relocate Global will take care of editing, captions and formatting for different platforms.
