Responding to an increased demand from business travellers and young professionals, a micro-apartment project in Munich, comprising of 55 serviced apartment units, will be completed by summer 2018.

A new project to build 55 fully furnished micro-apartments is under way in Munich. The new serviced apartments will be located near Ostbahnhof and in the direct vicinity of various business parks, such as Siemens Campus and Werksviertel München.

What is a micro-apartment? 

A micro-apartment is a maximum of 32 square metres but contains a sitting space, sleeping space, bathroom and kitchenette. The new apartments, being developed by Corestate will be self-contained and fully furnished and aim to meet the increasing accommodation demand from business travellers and young professionals.Thomas Landschreiber, Chief Investment Officer of Corestate said, “The European market for micro-apartments has gained significant momentum over the past few years, due to the increase in demand. The focus has shifted and does not only lie on students as a target group anymore; business travelers and young professionals are also seeking micro-apartments that offer a certain service level.”

Facilities management

The project is scheduled to be completed in summer 2018.
