SEK Education Group inaugurates its first school in the Red Sea region in partnership with Red Sea Global

The Spanish educational group strengthens its presence in the Middle East, which will total five schools in the region, with the opening of this school located in Turtle Bay, as part of Red Sea Global’s project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian

Turtle Bay (Saudi Arabia), September 8, 2025.– SEK Education Group today officially inaugurated its new school, Turtle Bay International School (TBIS), in partnership with Red Sea Global (RSG). Located in the Red Sea region, the school opens its doors to provide international education from early years to secondary and is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP).The opening ceremony was presided over by Nieves Segovia, President of SEK Education Group, and John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea Global, together with Ms. Marta Montesino, Head of TBIS, Mr. Zehar Filemban, Exec. Dir. of Talent Development of RSG, as well as representatives of the Saudi Ministry of Education.During the inauguration, a symbolic ribbon-cutting took place, accompanied by the ringing of the school bell as a representation of the beginning of the academic year. The event concluded at the school’s amphitheatre with the planting of an olive tree accompanied by the message: “An olive tree for peace, a school for wisdom, together, ahead for a better future.” This gesture represents the shared values of growth, peace, and sustainability of SEK Education Group and Red Sea Global.
