Inspired commits €30 million to expand global scholarship programme after demand reveals growing education access gap

Inspired Education has announced a €30 million investment in a new global scholarship initiative after unprecedented demand for its flagship Nsouli Scholars Programme highlighted the scale of unmet demand for high-quality education among talented young people around the world.

The programme will provide up to 500 scholarships each year across Inspired's global group of more than 125 schools, creating opportunities for hundreds of talented pupils whose families require financial support to access an Inspired education. The initiative follows the rapid growth of the Nsouli Scholars Programme, which received 1,428 applications from pupils representing 95 nationalities across every inhabited continent in 2026 - a 353% increase since the programme launched in 2024.While the programme has transformed the lives of successful scholars, Inspired says the scale and diversity of applications revealed a much broader global challenge. Behind every scholarship awarded were thousands of ambitious young people with the ability to thrive but without the financial means to access the same opportunities.Applications have grown most significantly in regions where educational access and affordability remain major barriers. Since launch, applications from Sub-Saharan Africa have increased by 574%, with the region now accounting for 60% of all applications received. Applications from the Middle East and North Africa have more than tripled, while demand has doubled across Asia Pacific, Latin America and Europe.Inspired believes these figures point to a widening gap between educational aspiration and affordability, with families increasingly seeking access to high-quality education that remains financially out of reach. In response, the Group has launched a new global scholarship initiative as part of its wider Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, creating hundreds of additional opportunities each year for talented pupils whose families require financial support.Scholarships will be available Inspired schools worldwide, providing significant financial support to talented pupils whose families would otherwise be unable to access an Inspired education. The €30 million initiative represents one of the largest educational access programmes in the premium K-12 education sector, creating hundreds of scholarship opportunities each year across Inspired's global group of schools.

Nadim M. Nsouli, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Inspired Education, said:

"The extraordinary growth of the Nsouli Scholars Programme has shown us two things: first, that exceptional talent exists in every corner of the world, and second, that too many talented young people remain excluded from opportunity simply because of financial circumstance."We have seen first-hand the life-changing impact that access to an Inspired education can have - not only for pupils, but for entire families and communities. At the same time, we have heard from thousands of families whose aspirations for their children are every bit as strong, but whose financial realities place those opportunities beyond reach."This new scholarship initiative is our response. By leveraging the strength of Inspired's global family, we are making a long-term commitment to widening access to educational opportunity and creating pathways for the next generation of leaders, innovators and changemakers."The programme is expected to strengthen diversity across Inspired's global family of schools by welcoming pupils from a broader range of socioeconomic backgrounds, while enabling talented young people to benefit from an education that might otherwise have been inaccessible.
