The winners of global mobility's biggest accolades, the Relocate and Think Global People Awards, have just been announced (12 May) in a video livestream to almost 300 guests from around the world, spanning the US, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, New Zealand and beyond.The Think Relocate Awards – virtual for the first time ever because of the COVID-19 lockdown – brought together every element of our tight-knit, but fast-expanding international community of global mobility, relocation and business travel expertise in an upbeat online gathering that successfully inspired, connected and celebrated global people.

Capturing the spirit of innovation in this important sector

Renowned BBC broadcast and BAFTA-nominated journalist Jayne Constantinis hosted the ceremony, which was in-step with this time of reflection and adaptation.“I’m delighted to be the host for this, a slightly different ceremony,” she said. “The Relocate Awards were the first in the sector back in 2007. They are known for innovation and pushing the boundaries. They are doing it once again with the sector’s first-ever virtual ceremony. “Presenters and winners are connecting in from all over the world, making this a truly international, virtual event.”Introducing the awards – and welcoming guests after an evocative and memorable montage of stunning images from past Relocate Awards ceremonies – Relocate Global’s managing editor, Fiona Murchie said: “Although we may not be together today, we are all together as one community, working towards excellence in global mobility, international management and HR, doing great work to support individuals and organisations to flourish and grow.”

The Think Relocate Awards covers every aspect of the global mobility supply chain: from HR and global mobility policy and procedure, international leadership, technology and analytics, immigration and taxation, finance and banking, business travel, education and schools, removals, partner and family support, health and wellbeing, serviced apartments, to residential and commercial property.Each entry across the15 Relocate and Think Global People Award categories showcases innovation and dedication to the Relocate Global and our wider community’s cause: supporting businesses, their employees and families to make their international assignments and career development plans a reality in an age of talent shortages and globalisation.“The global pandemic now more than ever is putting the focus on people’s wellbeing,” said Fiona Murchie. “People are at the heart of our sector.“As well as striving for and achieving excellence, what all our award winners share in common is all are truly making a difference to people’s lives. Recognising success, globally

Setting the stage, versatile Rockabilly band, Bamboozle, again gave a brilliant live performance that captured the dynamic and creative spirit of the sector. This followed their fabulous reception from guests at the 2019 Relocate Awards at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London. Honouring collaboration, community and mutual support, guests at the online awards ceremony were also actively cheering on and congratulating the winners as they have in previous years’ gala awards events.“Relocate Awards are widely regarded as among the most coveted in the relocation and global mobility sphere and a highlight of the global mobility calendar,” added Fiona Murchie. “Our prestigious annual event brings everyone together in a real celebration of excellence, and this is what we achieved again today."
