The Ascott Limited appoints Samuel Ballard to new London opening

Samuel Ballard has been appointed Residence Manager of Citadines Islington London, part of The Ascott Limited, and the newest addition to the Citadines Apart’hotel portfolio in London.

Samuel will oversee Citadines Islington, which is located in London’s exciting new Islington Square neighbourhood. The 108-apartment serviced-residence is housed in an Edwardian building, once a Royal Mail Sorting Office, within the chic new Islington Square development, on the borough’s bustling Upper Street.Enabling guests to "live like a local", each apartment at Citadines Islington London includes a fully equipped kitchen, separate bedroom, private bathroom, living area, and flat-screen TV with Chromecast. The units also include ample space for guests to relax and work, with a separate living area and working space with a desk and free unlimited WiFi. Each deluxe room category also comes equipped with a yoga mat, for use in the apartment or in the property’s Fitness Corner with gym equipment.

Bringing international experience to Islington

Originally from Australia, Samuel brings over 14 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in both front line and managerial roles, where he has led high performing teams in hotels in London and Australia.Samuel has been working at The Ascott Limited since 2017 and has experience in developing new processes through training and key skills in cost analysis, productivity, and customer satisfaction.Prior to his appointment, Samuel worked at Ascott’s The Cavendish London hotel as Front of House Manager and Operations Manager. Samuel also worked at Club Tropical Resort Darwin, Rydges Melbourne, and Crown Metropol Perth.
