85% of this year’s cohort achieved 5-9 grades, a 5% increase on last year’s results. This reflects both individual excellence and perseverance as well as the school’s dedication to a holistic, well-rounded education under-pinned by a dynamic careers programme that prepares young people to thrive at university and beyond. The results also show that the school has supported pupil progress with provisional data indicating a value added score of 0.8, this means students achieve 7 or 8 GCSE grades better at Radnor House Sevenoaks than they would in an average setting.
David Paton, headteacher at Radnor House Sevenoaks says: "We’re thrilled with this year’s results, which support our year-on-year academic growth and indicate a significant uplift in the value-added data for this cohort. This shows how learning at Radnor helps pupils to progress at levels well above average and is a strong testament to the efforts of our dedicated staff, supportive parents and, of course, our incredible students. Behind the statistics are countless stories of personal development, hard work and determination. They have navigated the academic challenge with immense maturity while continuing to thrive on the sports pitches, in debating and performing arts and in our art studios.”
Scott Milne, Head of Senior School,
comments, "There were broad smiles and a number of very pleasant surprises as the envelopes were opened earlier, and I am sure the celebrations will continue throughout the day and into the evening. We are so proud of our students’ achievements and commend them for all the preparation and hard work they have put in. What makes today so rewarding is seeing success right across the curriculum. Whether it’s in the sciences, humanities, languages, or the arts, our students have shown a genuine passion for learning. These results provide them with a fantastic springboard as they transition into the Sixth Form, where we know they will continue to flourish.”
